Armenia: residence through a real qualifying activity
Choose the residence basis first, then assemble evidence that matches what you will actually do.

Find your basis
The MFA lists business activity among the grounds for temporary residence; work, study and specified family links are other grounds. Temporary cards are generally valid for one year. Business activity and Armenian origin also appear among permanent-residence grounds; this is an eligibility assessment, not an automatic benefit of registering a company.
Build a document file
The published list includes an application, three photographs, passport and notarised Armenian translation, evidence of the qualifying basis, medical certificate and fee receipt. Use the current migration-service checklist before ordering documents. Ask which originals, translations and family records apply to your case; a general article cannot replace that category check.
Plan renewal and ordinary life
The MFA says renewal applications should be made at least thirty days before expiry. Keep a working calendar, reliable accommodation and copies of the evidence behind your activity. Before choosing a business route, write down the actual customers, work and administration you intend to maintain and have an accountant cost that plan.
Keep nationality separate
A residence card, permanent card and special-status document are different from citizenship. The national services gateway flags potential military-registration or service consequences for male citizens. Investigate nationality duties and Dutch-nationality consequences before pursuing a passport. Do not treat a business permit as an approved citizenship investment.
