Life strategy: turn a bigger ambition into your next move

You may have several ideas at once: change your work, travel more, find a different base or build more independence. Start by connecting those ideas to the week you actually want to live.

Choose the decision behind the interests

Write the change you want in one sentence. “I want more freedom” can mean fewer fixed commitments, a different income pattern, more time outdoors or a place where you feel at home. Those lead to different actions. You can bring the bigger picture to a conversation, then choose the decision that matters first.

Separate curiosity from a commitment

You can be interested in Bitcoin, AI, biohacking, spirituality or a new country without needing to buy, move or adopt a complete identity immediately. Make a list of what you want to understand, what you want to try and what you are already prepared to commit to. The distinction keeps exploration useful.

Map your real constraints

List time, work obligations, people affected, documents and the effort you can realistically sustain. A budget for guidance is optional; it is not a demand to disclose your wealth. Where a decision depends on law, tax, medicine or a financial product, identify the professional question rather than guessing the answer.

AUF EINEN BLICK

Klarheit für deine nächste Entscheidung.

  1. Deine Frage

Beginne mit der Entscheidung, die du treffen möchtest.

  2. Möglichkeiten vergleichen

Trenne bekannte Fakten von offenen Fragen.

  3. Den nächsten Schritt vereinbaren

Bestätige zuerst Umfang, Zeitplan und Preis.

Compare three possible next steps

Consider staying while preparing, making a limited exploratory visit, or starting a defined project. Write what each option helps you learn, what it costs in time and what would make you reconsider. There is no need to choose the most dramatic option to make progress.

Decide what kind of help fits

A strategy call suits one central question and includes a short summary and to-do list. A fuller report can be agreed with the call. A personal plan suits several connected scenarios. Ongoing guidance or practical local work is a different scope with its own responsibilities.

Leave with actions, not only inspiration

For each action, record the owner, dependency and next checkpoint. Mark unanswered questions as unanswered. Your summary can separate what you decided from what still needs research. A useful plan should make the next week clearer, not just make the future sound exciting.

Bring one decision and the wider context

Before we speak, write down the decision you are facing in one sentence. Then add the context that changes it: work, people affected, time, location, energy and existing commitments. You can keep personal details broad at first. The aim is to understand enough to make the conversation useful without turning the first step into a document dump.

A focused conversation, step by step

We start with what prompted the question and what a better outcome would look like. We separate facts you know from assumptions, identify the choices available and examine the costs or trade-offs that matter to you. We finish by choosing a small number of next actions, including what needs specialist input and what can wait.

What you receive after the call

The strategy call includes a written summary and prioritised to-do list, so you can return to the reasoning after the conversation. A fuller research report is a separate option only when its scope, questions, format, timing and any additional fee have been agreed beforehand. The written work records the agreed discussion; it does not replace legal, medical, tax or investment advice.

Choose the right starting format

A conversation suits one decision or an early exploration. A written plan may suit several connected choices that need to be organised and compared. Ongoing advisory only makes sense when there is a defined set of follow-up tasks and an agreed rhythm. If the main need is a regulated professional opinion, begin with that professional and use our time to prepare the questions or coordinate practical next steps.

Build the week before choosing the country

Describe a week you would be happy to repeat. Where do you work, how many hours are already committed and what happens when the laptop closes? Include sleep, movement, food, friends and time alone. Then compare possible places against that week. A lower cost destination is useful only if the conditions let you work and live in the way you intended. A beautiful island can fit a season without fitting your long term base. A city can be practical without becoming your whole future.

Give portable work a real customer

Freelancing and AI-assisted work become more concrete when you can name a customer and a problem. Choose something you can deliver, show an example and test whether anyone will pay for it. Decide how you will communicate, revise the work and keep records. Compare the effort of finding customers with the effort of delivering the service. An online business still needs those ordinary arrangements; buying tools or producing a long list of ideas does not replace them.

Keep a base and an exploration budget

A base and travel can support each other. Plan the recurring cost of the base separately from a visit, an immersion or a motorcycle journey. Include the time when you are travelling but still need to work, and the cost of changing a plan. Decide what an exploratory trip should answer before spending money on it. You might need to test a neighbourhood, meet a professional, understand a route or simply see whether the place feels right after the first excitement passes.

Bring the plan back to one decision

A long document should eventually make the next move easier. Choose one action with a clear purpose: prepare questions for a specialist, test a service offer, make a budget, request an exploratory itinerary or compare two possible bases. Write what you expect to learn and what would make you stop. Review the result before adding another commitment. The aim is a life you can maintain, with enough room to enjoy it.

Put your question into a practical next step.

Describe what you are trying to decide. We agree the appropriate scope and price before you commit. A question does not create a booking or payment obligation.
