Why Paraguay is my Plan A, not just an emergency exit
Paraguay is my main base because I want a life to build, not only a destination to escape to.

A base with something to return to
I live from a base in Asunción and want my work, travel and relationships to grow from there. A Plan A is the place where an ordinary week makes sense. I want time outside, useful work through the internet, room to explore a future home and people to share ideas with. Those are personal priorities. Calling Paraguay my Plan A describes my direction; it does not establish that it is the only country that could work for somebody else.
Freedom has an everyday side
I care about regulation, institutional power and the ability to organise my own life. But independence also involves groceries, transport, communication, healthcare access and an income model. A country cannot replace those decisions. My interest in Paraguay becomes practical when I can turn an idea into a visit, a local conversation or a realistic next step. A future house and more independent water or energy systems are ambitions to investigate, not facilities I already have available for clients.
A local base does not end international thinking
Bolivia, Uruguay and other places can remain part of a wider life. You can have roots without treating travel as disloyalty to your base. The useful question is what each location contributes: family time, work, learning, climate or an alternative if circumstances change. I prefer arrangements that I can maintain to a complicated collection of countries and companies that consumes the freedom it was supposed to create.
Your Plan A might be somewhere else
Paraguay may be unsuitable for your work, language, household or health needs. Explore those points before committing to property or a large relocation assignment. We can discuss a visit designed around your questions, with time to see the less photogenic parts of daily life too. The best outcome is a decision you understand. Choosing another place after a useful visit is still a successful piece of preparation.
