Thailand DTV: plan the permitted stay and the activity
A visa category is useful only when its purpose matches the life and work you intend.

Match the purpose
The government describes DTV for remote-work visits and specified Thai soft-power activities. It describes stays up to 180 days with an extension option. Visa validity and permission for each stay are different: use your actual approval and entry record to plan departure or extension.
Apply through the official channel
The e-visa process involves an account, application, supporting documents, fee and a decision. Approval is not guaranteed. Use the Thai mission responsible for where you apply to obtain its current document and financial-evidence list. Do not use a provider’s generic checklist as proof that the mission has accepted your circumstances.
Prepare a practical file
Keep clear passport scans, proof of where you are applying, and documents demonstrating the real purpose of the stay. Before paying for a course or accommodation package, check cancellation terms and what happens if the visa is refused. Ask about insurance and budget for living costs independently of the visa fee.
Avoid turning a stay into a passport promise
A DTV is not itself permanent residence or nationality. Do not assume permission for remote activity covers every local job or business. Tax obligations and bank onboarding need separate checks against your days, income and facts. Use a trial stay to test daily life while keeping expiry and reporting requirements under review.
